Connecting with Our Community
From parades and festivals to safety programs and hosting school visits, the Chester First Aid Squad is proud to be actively involved in the community we serve. These events allow our volunteers to connect with residents, promote safety, and strengthen the bond between CFAS and the Chester community. Some of the local events we are proud to support include:

- Chester Lions Club Oktoberfest
- Halloween Trunk or Treat
- Memorial Day Ceremony
- Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony @ Borough Gazebo
- Hannukah Menorah Lighting Ceremony @ Borough Gazebo
- Chester Day
- Chester Craft Fairs
- Food Truck Festivals
- Football games @ West Morris Central and Mendham High School, and the Twin Boro Bears
In partnership with the American Red Cross, CFAS hosts Blood Drives throughout the year.
We also provide life-saving CPR and First Aid training to anyone interested.
CFAS Hosts Northern NJ Safe Kids Car Seat and Car Fit Inspections
Northern New Jersey Safe Kids/Safe Communities is the Injury Prevention arm of the Trauma Service of Morristown Medical Center. Their Car Seat Inspection Stations are the local Injury Prevention Resource Centers for Northern New Jersey. Certified Car Seat Technicians assist caregivers with the education needed to install and use their car seat correctly. They also conduct Car Fit Inspections, Pre-Natal Vehicle Checks and have information on other safe driving campaigns.
Stop in at Safe Kids’ Chester Car Seat Inspection Station at the Chester First Aid Squad Building at 100 North Road in Chester. Hours are: First Tuesday of the Month 2pm – 6pm and Third Thursday of the Month 7am – 12noon.
